What makes the Philippines such a great place to survive? We asked Koh Lanta-Caramoan producer Thierry Griffin and the Christelle \u2013 the winner of Koh Lanta \u2013 Caramoan. Here\u2019s what they had to say:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was a very long preparation with Jun Juban, all the people involved, all the details to check, everything was absolutely fabulous, like in a dream… from the country, definitely the kindness and gentleness of all the people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n After the two Koh Lantas in the <\/strong>Philippines<\/strong>, do you think many more French folks would be interested in visiting the country?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Yes, of course! Koh Lanta is a huge promotion for the country because we only show the magnificent beauty of the locations. Boracay is famous but there are so many other beautiful islands…<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n How would you describe the <\/strong>Philippines<\/strong>?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The most Latin and European country in Asia. Catholicism is an historical link between the Philippines and Europe. Even if you don\u2019t speak Tagalog,<\/p>\n\n\n\n It\u2019s much more easy to communicate with people, to understand their culture and to appreciate them than in any other Asian country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n What is the best thing about the Filipino?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Filipinos are so kind, so courageous, always smiling, never complaining; very positive attitude.<\/p>\n\n\n\n What other places in the <\/strong>Philippines<\/strong> would you like to visit?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Baguio, Banaue, Bohol, Visayas, all other islands in the south…<\/p>\n\n\n\n What is your fave Filipino food?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Grilled fish with calamansi, fresh mangoes with suman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n What do you like least about the Filipino or the <\/strong>Philippines<\/strong>?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Tagalog! This is definitely not an easy language to speak for French people!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Christelle comes from near Bordeaux in the south of France. The 28-year-old charmer is a policewoman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n How does it feel to be the sole survivor?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n CHRISTELLE:<\/strong> I was very happy to finish this adventure and relieved because I could eat some good food. I can\u2019t believe I survived. I\u2019m sure my parents will be proud of me. It was a great experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Given the chance would you join Koh Lanta again?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Of course! Because the first time when you eat something the taste is sensational! It\u2019s a great moment. The islands are very beautiful and the water is translucent. It\u2019s so beautiful! It\u2019s an Eden on Earth!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Did you feel that you would be the winner of Koh Lanta?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n No, because I don\u2019t have self-confidence. I just hoped I would make it to the finals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If there\u2019s one good thing you could say about the <\/strong>Philippines<\/strong> what would that be?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Filipinos are very friendly and they are open-minded. I want to come back and discover this country more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
